The riff for Spirit Bender was originally written by Michael Bain in the 7th grade. Zane remembered this 7th grade riff, and re-worked it into what is now "Spirit Bender" The first two sets of lyrics in the verses are also that "7th grade" ancient - "They come in the night with cages and lights", honey, baby.
